CSA Week #2 (EOW Group #2)

This Week's Harvest:

Romaine Lettuce--Super crunchy and HUGE

Sweet Salad Turnips--excellent raw on salads, or sautéed with their greens.  One of our favorite spring vegetables!

Radishes--Bagged red and pink varieties.

Scallions--Mild and tender, use in place of onions just about anywhere.

Spinach--Another big bag of big tender leaves.

This Week's Harvest: Sweet Potatoes--Fully cured, wonderful sweet flavor and texture.  Long storage life on your counter! Salad Mix--mix of lettuce varieties. Spinach/Baby Kale--Harvested from the hoop house, very clean and tender.  Excellent for hearty salad or as a saute/soup green. CSA Week #17 (EOW Group #1)

This Week's Harvest: Sweet Potatoes--Finally this first batch is cured!  These first sweet potatoes are not yet as sweet as they will be later on, but still have a wonderful texture and mildly sweet flavor.  You can also leave them on your counter for a couple weeks to increase the sweetness.
