This Week's Harvest:

Sweet Corn--Our farmer friends at Crossroads Community Farm grow sweet corn for us each year.  Organic sweet corn is truly an art--those guys work really hard to bring us delicious corn and we hope you enjoy!

Salsa Verde Kit--the return of a CSA favorite!  All the fixings for a batch of delicious green salsa. It freezes well.

Yellow and Red Onions-- The first of our storage onions are cured, these all-purpose onions can sit on the counter.

Cherry Tomatoes--So sweet!  Starting this week you can pick extra too!

Choice of Herb--Choose basil, parsley, dill, or cilantro

Summer Crisp Lettuce--Fabulous crisp leaves for burgers and BLTs, or use in place of romaine in a caesar salad.

Carrots--They're back, a bit larger as we start into our mid-season planting.  The variety is Romance, and we're really enjoying their sweet flavor!

Shishito Peppers--delicious thin-skinned Spanish peppers.  Can be sliced or tossed whole onto salads or into grilled veggie dishes (no seeding needed).  A popular preparation is to toss them with olive oil and char on the grill or in a hot cast iron skillet, then finish with coarse salt and enjoy.

Eggplant, Zucchini, and Summer Squash--More eggplant this week, it loved that rain :).

Garlic--Packed with flavor!  These bulbs are fully cured and can sit on your counter without spreading their garlic odor 🙂  They can be stored long-term as well!

Kale--The last harvest from our early planting--blanch and freeze for winter soups if your don't need it now--you'll thank yourself!  Great time for kale chips too.

Mixed Tomatoes--Much better harvest this week!  Our sauce tomatoes are open for picking as well.

Cucumbers--Cuke lovers rejoice, our new planting delivered a bumper crop this week!

Bell Peppers--We're starting to see some color on the peppers, but green dominates for now...

Storage:

Most items in the share will keep 10-14 days in a bag or crisper drawer in the fridge.  Lettuce should be used within a week.  Onions and garlic can be stored long-term on the counter.
