This Week for U-Pick:  Sauce Tomatoes (just a few left), Cherry Tomatoes, Spicy Peppers, Flowers, Mint, Cilantro, Sage, Parsley, Thyme, Oregano, Chives, Tarragon, Lemon Balm, Lavender, Lemon Verbena Delicata is here!  It's a personal favorite, a sweet and creamy winter squash with a thin edible skin--no need to peel!  It's a great week to throw them on the grill, or wait for the weather to break for delicata and leek soup--so simple and delicious. Sweet salad turnips are back!  Whether you choose turnips or kohlrabi this week, you'll have a crisp, juicy salad addition or a delicious raw snack.  Our germination was rather poor in our first fall planting, but more are on the way. While the tomatoes have faded from the share list, there are still some sauce tomatoes in the patch for those who want to search.  Cherry tomatoes are very plentiful and easy to find though--be sure to pick some before they too start to fade.  Tomato season always feels too short in Wisconsin! Happy Eating!   This Week's Recipes (all found in our Recipe Archive): Grilled Delicata Squash and Kale (under "Winter Squash") Delicata and Leek Soup (under "Winter Squash") Caramelized Onion Soup (under "Onions") Plus: Roasted Beet and Garlic Pasta (Pink pasta!  It's fabulous!)
