Harvest Party Sunday September 30!

We're excited to be planning our Annual Harvest Party to toast the season, spend some time among friends, and enjoy some fabulous food!  This year, farm chef and "food goddess about town" Lee Davenport will be preparing pork from our farm with all the fixings and side dishes!  Vegetarian options available.  Please bring a drink, dessert, or snack to share, or just yourself!  You may want to bring a chair or blanket to sit on too.   The party will get rolling at 3:30 with a farm tour at 4pm and dinner soon after.  We'll have a bonfire at dusk (weather permitting) so bring an instrument for the sing-along!

Blue Moon Harvest Party!

3:30 til dusk (Farm Tour at 4:00pm; Dinner around 5:00pm)

We have a brand-new feature for the Harvest Party this year as well--A Silent Auction!!  Long-time farm employee and organizer extraordinaire Kiera Mulvey is putting together a Silent Auction to support the gathering and benefit Blue Moon farm improvements.  Here's the deal, straight from Kiera's mouth!

Hello Blue Mooners!

In my five years as an employee at the Moon and our market stand I have been fortunate enough to meet many of you, probably glimpsed some of you, and am looking forward to seeing most of you on September 30th at the Blue Moon Harvest Party!  We're busy planning a delicious, delectable, downright delightful menu for this party and can't wait to share more of this tumultuous season's bounty (don't fret, we won't serve you ONLY eggplant!) with our community.

I've volunteered to coordinate a low-key SILENT AUCTION at this years Harvest Party for three important reasons, to help us serve you the most delicious food available, to support our community farm, and....most especially, to showcase your talents, skills, and the special somethings that I'm confident you'll dig up!  IF you can't make the party we'll miss you very much, BUT you can still contribute to the auction!

So, here's how it will work.

1-Dig deep into your creative mind (ok, no creativity required!) and think of something you have, can do, or have access to that might be of interest to other CSA members..again, think outside the box! (starter ideas below)

2- Fill out this FORM to get me the details I need in an organized and fun format

3- Bring your item(s) or appropriate information/imagery/paperwork to the farm prior to the party date OR by 3:30 pm on the day of the party.

4- Be happy about sharing your ideas, fun, wisdom, food, art.....etc with your farm community AND supporting such a delicious cause.

Thanks in advance for participating.  Feel free to give me a call or an email if you'd like to help organize the auction or have any questions. ~Kiera Mulvey 608-320-5024
