Mint Syrup


A summer staple to add to sparkling water, cocktails, or iced tea.  Delicious!


1 cup sugar

1 cup water

1 cup mint leaves, chopped


Bring water and sugar to a boil and lower heat to a simmer.  Add mint leaves and simmer 4-5 minutes or until sugar is completely dissolved.  Turn off heat and let it steep as it cools.  Strain and store refrigerated for up to several weeks.
